Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how SayBack: Voice Alarms (“SayBack”), provided by AayuTech (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the iPhone app.

The short version: SayBack does not require an account and we do not collect, transmit, sell, or use your voice recordings or reminder details for advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Information stored on your device

SayBack stores the information needed to provide its features locally within the app on your iPhone, including:

• Voice recordings you create or accept;
• Reminder titles, dates, times, recurrence selections, and delivery choices;
• Recordings you save in the Voice Library;
• App preferences, such as whether reminder titles are hidden on the Lock Screen; and
• Your SayBack Pro entitlement status as provided through Apple StoreKit.

We do not operate a server that receives or stores this content.

Microphone and notification access

SayBack requests microphone access so you can record voice messages. Audio is recorded for the feature you request and is not sent to us.

SayBack requests notification access to deliver voice reminders. On supported versions of iOS, SayBack requests Alarm access only when you choose Alarm mode. You can change these permissions in iPhone Settings.

No speech recognition or profiling

SayBack does not transcribe, recognize, or analyze what you say. It does not create voiceprints, advertising profiles, or behavioral profiles. Reminder titles, dates, and times are entered by you.

Sharing and exporting

Sharing is always initiated by you. A shared SayBack file can contain the voice recording, title, scheduled date and time, timezone, and selected recurrence days. The recipient can preview the file, and nothing is scheduled on their device unless they accept it.

When you share or export through Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files, or another service, that service and the recipient may receive the content you chose to share. Their handling of it is governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Only share personal recordings with people and services you trust.

Purchases

SayBack uses Apple StoreKit to offer and verify the one-time SayBack Pro purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy practices. We do not receive or store your payment card details. SayBack reads the verified entitlement supplied by Apple so it can unlock Pro features.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

SayBack does not include third-party advertising, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Retention and deletion

Your local recordings and reminder information remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall SayBack. Deleting a reminder removes its attached recording and scheduled alert. If you saved a separate copy in Voice Library, that copy remains until you delete it from the library.

Temporary files created for sharing or importing are removed by the app when they are no longer needed where the operating system permits. Copies you send, export, or save outside SayBack are under your or the recipient’s control and must be deleted from those locations separately.

Security

SayBack relies on iOS app isolation and system protections to help safeguard locally stored data. You can hide reminder titles on the Lock Screen from SayBack’s Privacy & Security screen. No method of storage is completely secure, so protect your iPhone with a passcode and keep iOS up to date.

Children’s privacy

SayBack is not designed to collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly collect such information. Because sharing is controlled by the user and may contain a person’s voice, guardians should supervise a child’s use of sharing features.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as SayBack changes. The effective date above will be revised when we publish an updated version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice where required.
